PUPPY PEOPLE: Kind reminder that dog parks are not a safe or appropriate place and way to socialize your pup/introduce them to other dogs. I was at Cherry Creek Off Leash Dog Park the other day and the sweetest little puppy nugget was getting overwhelmed by all of the dogs trying to say hi. He was also on leash, which prevented him for getting out of an interaction he may not have wanted. All it can take is one negative experience with another dog to make your puppy fearful and reactive. I know mom meant well, but there are better ways to do this ❤️

1. Find a puppy social group or training class
2. Find other puppies or gentle/more neutral adults

You can ask your vet, dog walker, friends, local pet store, or join a dog related group for resources, recommendations, and potential play and social friends.

Keep those puppy nuggets safe my friends! 😘✌️
