Homies, what can I say that hasn’t already been said? Like the rest of you, I am saddened and angry with the state of things around us. It is hard to sit back and try to sling our silly little plants when our very way of life is being infringed upon.
It’s hard to focus on the business when there are so many people living in fear. No community or group is above this. When people that look just like me are having their lives upturned for no reason it is hard to say “y’all want some plants?”
I want to say that all of this that is happening is personal. And it is. But it is also personal for ALL of us.
And as helpless as I feel and as ridiculous as I feel selling plants lately. It is all I have to offer. It is with our silly little plants that I think we can contribute best. And if our collective contribution can help just one person, then we have all done the right thing.
Plants have always been therapeutic for me and I hope that they can continue to be or begin to be therapeutic for y’all. The shop is always here to offer a brief respite.
There is no grey area here. There is a right side and wrong side of history here.
It goes without saying that if anyone agrees with the way that people are being treated, with the way in which our collective rights are being violated, or the way in which our representative government behaves, then we are not the shop for them.
There is no professional way to put it, nor the need to put it professionally. FDT, and F*** ICE.
