While we do not condone the senseless looting of small business', we fully understand and support the protests and the sense of outrage our communities have towards the deeply disturbing treatment of our black brothers and sisters all across this country that have gone on for far too long. We fully support your peaceful movement to bring about real changes to this country on a systemic level. To all those who are out on the streets protesting: be safe, be strong, and never lose your sense of outrage. Real change always comes from the bottom up.

It's too easy to catch a negative article nowadays in the times we live in. Despite this being a trying time for many of us, experts say that cities like Denver among a majority of the cities in the U.S.A. have the highest chance of being able to effectively rebound from a situation as big as this. Ingenuity and Discipline are two aspects heavily sighted as Denver's ability for the real estate community to energize the industry enough to create mass appeal with their tenants/homebuyers. Being in an industry which is constantly seeing rapid change, Denver's success comes from being able to evolve at any given moment to changes in the market. Could other cities in Colorado and the country emulate Denver's past and present success over the years during this COVID environment?

Often times we find ourselves so busy with our lives that we forget to just sit back, take some deep breathes and check in. Whether it’s with your friends, your family, your clients, or even yourself, taking the time to check-in gives you the ability to gain clarity on your own sense of direction while also helping those in your life be on a similar path to success. Check in with your clients, both old and new and give them all the insight you can to make them feel comfortable during such weird times and of course ask your loved ones how they are doing, make sure they don't need help with anything, and help do what you can to put them on a similar path to success as yourself. Nothing better than winning together. ✊

Bret entered the industry in 2012 and was the 2013 DMAR Rookie of the Year. In 2019 Bret was selected as one of the Denver Business Journal's 40 under 40. Since joining the industry, averaged 35 million in production volume. His team did 63 million in production in 2018, Bret transitioned to opening BSW Real Estate in 2019. BSW Real is focused on reshaping real estate with a focus on value over sales. Bret has never been organized or had great systems. His strength was in building relationships with clients and effectively communicating about the market. Currently Bret lives in Stapleton with his beautiful wife, amazing two kids, three dogs, fish and is just proud to make it through the day.
