Home Is Where the Legacy Lives. 🧱✨

For the past decade, we’ve been in the trenches buying, flipping, and selling. We’ve chased project completions, structural overhauls, and business goals. But along the way, we had to ask ourselves: when was the last time we made a house a home for our own family?

After selling our last property in 2023, we made a deliberate choice. Instead of jumping right into buying another home, I committed fully to building this business. My refusal to compromise on that goal meant sacrificing short-term comfort and convenience. The path wasn’t easy we faced our share of adversity and relied heavily on the support of family and community when we didn’t have a place of our own. But in that season of burning out and rebuilding, we experienced a profound truth: home isn’t just about the square footage, finishes, or the deal itself. Home is a feeling of legacy, protection, peace, and hope.

Going through that journey defined everything Grit City Living stands for. It’s not just about the transaction; it’s about the resilience, grit, and endurance that defines the people of Tacoma. We know the struggle, and we know the fight for stability isn’t easy but when you stay the course, it is always worth it.

We officially closed on our new home last week. Standing on the buying side as my own client to represent our family in this transaction made the milestone even more meaningful. Above all, I give thanks to God for His guidance and provision, and to the incredible people who supported us and helped make this vision a reality.
