come paint a thanksgiving themed ornament on me! 🦃🎉

Hello everyone! I am happy to announce we will be hosting our first annual Thanksgiving ornament coloring event this year!!

This is something our owner started as one of our many community events to give back to all who support us. With the amount of pure joy and gratefulness that comes from it, we are holding this new event on Saturday, November 23rd from 4-6 PM at our Lititz location and 1-3pm at our Hempfield location to host your little ones to come to color an ornament!

We are requesting that everyone utilize the sign-up sheet once again so we can gauge how many Ornaments we will need. Last event I believe we went through almost 200 pumpkins!!! I want to make sure we have enough for everyone, signing up ahead of time guarantees an ornament- walking in does not!

This is a completely free event, hosted by our owner/favorite Hamzah Dawood Realtor and the Greco's Italian Ices and Homemade Ice Cream team.

There will be ice cream available at both locations to snack on!

Each kiddo will have the opportunity to color one ornament we will have a few different designs to choose from!

A couple of things to remember
- Some ornaments dry quicker than others! Be prepared to take a wet one home with you.
- We will use all washable markers.
- We will have plenty of paper towels for messy hands.
- Chairs and covered tables provided.
- Each kiddo will receive 1 free ornament to color.
- You must take your ornament with you.

Hello Fellow citizens of Lititz, PA! I'm very excited to announce I'll be sponsoring the Fourth Annual Halloween house decorating competition in Lititz this year as my love for fall shines during Halloween!

There will be 1 grand prize winner this year. Homes will be judged based upon spookiness, creativity, and overall wow factor. Think lights, inflatables, music maybe?!? The possibilities are endless and we are excited to see what you come up with! The grand prize will be a Halloween ice SCREAM calendar from Greco's Italian Ices and Homemade Ice Cream Judging will take place the weekend of the 26th.

Participants need to live within 3 miles of Lititz borough so we can assure each home gets judged! The link to register will be posted in the comments! Please Please Please help spread the word, the more participants we have the more fun it is for everyone!

1. Entry is free! no cost or fees apply.

2. Entry Applications must be received no later than midnight on Sunday, Oct. 20th, 2024. The sooner you register the sooner we can make a map of participating homes for people to see!

3. The contest is for exterior decorations only, including decorations in windows that are visible from the exterior. Judging will be done from outside the residence only.

4. Judging will be based on “curb appeal” as viewed from the street only. Therefore only those decorations located on the street side of the property will be judged (corner lots will be judged from both streets). Judges will not enter the property to view back or side yards.

5. Participants agree to have one or more photos of their decorated residence exterior posted on social media. Participant agrees there will be no compensation of any kind for said posting or publication.

6. Judging criteria will include: [a] Unique design and creative use of lights and decorations; [b] Storyline or theme; [c] Display and placement of decorations, animated objects, etc. and [d] Overall presentation.

7. Judging will take place on the last weekend of October 2024 Depending on the number of entries.

8. Participants should ensure that all lights, animations, and decorations are in place and activated for the judging periods on judging day!

Please take a minute to read these answers to 8 frequently asked questions and suggestions:
1. During the event, please stay on sidewalks and use the crosswalks. Remember, cars drive on streets. No, we are not closing streets, it's a 10 day event and that would be impractical. Also, the ice can all be safely seen all through town on the sidewalks. Be safe.
2. Will it be crowded? Yes. This is a big event, and will be action packed! The good news is, it's a big town! You'll have plenty of room to roam around, and our town will be full of happy people for you to make new friends!
3. Please be careful that your children don’t attempt to climb or play on the ice sculptures. They are definitely not meant to be leaned on, and no, you can't climb them either. Please set a good example as responsible adults.
4. Where do we park? Metered parking will be available along our streets, as well as in several downtown parking lots. Our side streets aren’t metered and often have plenty of open spaces. You’ll also find open spaces in our church lots. However, please don’t use these lots on Sundays. We also ask that everyone is respectful of private property as well.
5. What are the hours? Our Fire & Ice sculptures are on display starting February 23rd at 4pm and throughout the weekend as the temperatures allow. They will be lit on Friday and Saturday evenings and otherwise best viewed during daylight hours. Bonus? You’ll get to drop into our shops and do our scavenger hunt during daylight hours as well!
6. Do I need tickets? No, this is a free event. DO NOT send money to strangers on the internet, scammers love to trick people in the comments. Don't fall for it.
7. Are there public restrooms? Yes! There are public restrooms at the Lititz Welcome Center – at the entrance of Lititz Springs Park. We’ll also have additional bathrooms available just off of East Main Street on South Sturgis Lane and at our Food Truck Food Court, across from the park and also accessible off of North Lane.
8. Is this a dog friendly event? We strongly discourage bringing your pup. Look, we’re huge fans of our furry friends, we love dogs, but we think it’s best for everyone if they stay home. Why? Because leashes and ice sculptures don’t get along. There have been incidences when an owner on one side of a sculpture and a dog on another leads to catastrophe. We also know that crowds can tend to stress out even the most laid back dogs. If you do bring Fido, please help us by being super vigilant and absolutely leave your retractable leashes at home.
