Lancaster City Restaurant Week is happening now!

One of the best parts of living at Landis Place on King is having so many great Lancaster City restaurants right outside your door — and this week is the perfect time to try a few!

Restaurant Week continues through September 20, with special menus and offerings throughout the city. A few nearby spots to check out include Denim Coffee, just down West King Street, Cabbage Hill Schnitzel Haus on South Queen Street, and Cocina Mexicana on North Water Street.

Whether you’re in the mood for coffee and a bite, authentic German fare or Mexican favorites, there’s plenty to enjoy within an easy walk of Landis Place on King.

A huge benefit of living at Landis Place on King is the chance to take part in the many free events held in Downtown Lancaster. Since this is the 4th Friday of the month, it is time for another FREE movie in the "America's 250th Movie Night" series. The movie begins at 6:30PM Friday at Binn's Park. This month, the historically-based movie is Because of Winn-Dixie.

It’s First Friday in Lancaster City!

One of the best parts of life at Landis Place on King is having so much of downtown Lancaster right outside your door. Tonight, the city comes alive for August First Friday with art, music, food, local businesses and plenty to explore.

From Bachata at Binns Park and the Ewell Plaza Art Market to food trucks and free First Friday trolley rides, there’s something happening throughout downtown from 5–8:30 p.m.

If you’re heading out tonight, enjoy the energy, creativity and community that make Lancaster City such a special place to call home!

What makes a city age-friendly also makes it better for everyone.

Landis Place on King resident Ellen Berfond puts it simply: “What’s good for a wheelchair is good for a stroller.” Safer street crossings, accessible sidewalks, welcoming public spaces and better access to information help older adults remain independent while also benefiting families, people with disabilities and neighbors of every generation.

CITY LIVING AT LPK

The sounds of Simon and Garfunkel and other memorable tunes filled the air of the Conexion Room at LPK recently when residents and friends from Steeple View Lofts were treated to a special summer performance of a Bell Choir, thanks to LPK resident Lillian, who is a proud member of the group.
