🍂 Fall Home Maintenance Checklist
* 🏠 Clean gutters & downspouts — Get those leaves out before the fall rain and winter weather hit.
* 🔥 Have your furnace serviced — Better to find a problem now than on the first freezing night.
* 🪟 Check windows & doors for drafts — Replace worn weatherstripping and caulk gaps.
* 🚰 Disconnect outdoor hoses — Drain exterior faucets and winterize them before freezing temps.
* 🧯 Test smoke & CO detectors — Replace batteries if needed.
* 🌳 Trim trees & branches — Especially anything hanging over your roof, driveway, or power lines.
* 🏡 Inspect your roof — Look for missing/damaged shingles, flashing issues, or signs of leaks.
* 🍃 Clean up around your AC unit — Remove leaves and debris and give it some breathing room.
* 🪵 Check decks, steps & railings — Repair loose boards or railings before snow and ice arrive.
* 🚪 Check your garage door — Inspect the weather seal and make sure it’s closing properly.
* ❄️ Get winter supplies ready — Snow shovel, ice melt, generator supplies, etc.
* 🧹 Don’t forget the dryer vent — Clean out lint buildup for better efficiency and fire prevention.
