🇺🇸 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪?

25 years ago, yet in so many ways, it still feels like yesterday.

I remember sitting in 7th grade English in Mrs. Ball’s class at Stoutsville Middle School when Mrs. Cordle, the 8th grade English teacher from across the hall, rushed into our classroom, frantically telling us to turn on the television.

As we watched the events of September 11th unfold, the room became somber and completely silent.

I don’t think our young adolescent minds could fully understand or comprehend what we were witnessing—or how those moments would forever change not only our nation, but the entire world.

Twenty-five years later, I can still remember that classroom, that silence, and the feeling that something had changed.
