Let me tell you about the lasagna at 🇮🇹🍝

This isn’t just lasagna… this is the kind of lasagna you take one bite of and immediately understand why people keep coming back🤤

Tony has been part of the Antelope Valley for more than 55 years. He came here after leaving Italy and began working at Barone’s when they opened their new location at 1229 West Avenue I. In 1968, Tony left for Vietnam, and when he returned, Al Barone welcomed him back and gave him his job again 🇺🇸

Back then, the AV had just two Italian restaurants — Barone’s and Casa Roma. Tony has watched this valley grow from almost nothing into the community it is today 🏘️

In 1975, Al Barone and Gene Magar opened the first Gino’s on Challenger Way. Later, Tony opened Gino’s in Palmdale and Gino’s at the Lancaster Marketplace 🍽️

For generations, Gino’s has been part of the biggest moments in local families’ lives — weddings, anniversaries, quinceañeras, celebrations, and countless Friday-night dinners❤️

And after all these years, Tony is still here, still serving this community, and still genuinely appreciating every customer who walks through the door 🚪

It’s y’all 🍽

So let’s talk about .barandgrill 🐮

Tehachapi, I think we may have just found our newest fine dining staple! 🤩

I was lucky enough to attend the soft opening week at The Ranch, and honestly… this is exactly the kind of dinner house our community has been waiting for. From the atmosphere to the food to the service, they really knocked it out of the park. I’m telling you now, Jake’s Steakhouse may have some serious competition! 👀

The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and I have to give a HUGE shoutout to our server, Brooke. She was absolutely amazing and made the entire evening feel effortless from start to finish 🍴

And the food?! I started with the street corn, which was such a fun presentation and packed with flavor. Then came the potato skins, and I’m not exaggerating when I say they were hands down the best I’ve ever had. They were loaded with huge pieces of brisket, had that perfectly crispy skin, and the potato itself was soft without being mushy. SO good 🥩

But the real star of the night was the picanha. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s the crown jewel of Brazilian BBQ, and The Ranch absolutely did it justice. Mine was cooked to a perfect medium and was so tender I could’ve cut it with a butter knife. Add in the chimichurri and fresh-baked sourdough and… 🤤

Then there were the sides. A football-sized loaded baked potato (yes, seriously 😂) and fresh green beans tossed with the most incredible pork belly bacon. Everything felt hearty, flavorful, and made with some serious attention to detail 🥔

My only regret from the entire night? Not saving room for the funnel cake. Next time, I’m planning accordingly 😉

If you’re in Tehachapi or anywhere around the Antelope Valley and looking for a phenomenal steakhouse, put The Ranch on your list. It’s locally owned, it’s beautiful, and based on what I experienced at preview week, I think this place is going to become a community favorite very quickly ❤️

I wanted to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to Party Monsters on their Grand Opening last weekend in Downtown Tehachapi! 🥳

I love seeing new small businesses open up in our community, and this one is SO fun! If you have a birthday party or celebration coming up, you definitely need to stop in and see what they have 🎊

They have tons of different party themes, rentals, balloons, entertainment equipment, and — my favorite part — HANDMADE PIÑATAS! 🪅

Seriously, go look at the piñatas. The Mr. Potato Head piñata was one of my favorites! 🥔❤️

They have so many fun and creative options, and you can even get a custom-shaped piñata 🤩

And I really love that they offer layaway and Afterpay and have ways to work with different budgets 🙌

If you love Filipino food, you NEED to check out at their pop-up 🤤

I’m telling you right now, the beef empanadas are a MUST. Like… don’t just get one. They’re SO good and definitely one of those things you’ll be thinking about after you leave 🥟

They’ve got all kinds of goodies too — pancit, egg rolls, empanadas, and their cheese sticks are next level. And apparently they come in Hot Cheetos AND Takis flavors?! Say less 😂

And because it’s still giving why is it this hot outside, they’ve got slushies too! Grab some food, grab a cold drink, support a local small business, and call it a good day 🥵

Seriously though, put on your list and go show them some love at their next pop-up! You can thank me later 😋
