NOTICE FROM THE NEW YORK SECURE CHOICE SAVINGS PROGRAM

The New York State Secure Choice Savings Program continues to expand access to retirement savings, providing an easy, automatic way for private-sector workers across New York State who do not have access to a workplace retirement plan to save for retirement through payroll deductions into their own Roth Individual Retirement Account (IRA).

New York State employers are required to register and facilitate the program if they:

have 10 or more employees
do not offer a qualified retirement plan, and have been in business for at least two years. Help your members prepare - the upcoming registration deadline for newly eligible employers is November 18, 2026.

New York Secure Choice is free and easy for employers to register and facilitate, while providing their employees the opportunity to save for the future. Employers are notified directly when it is time to register. If an employer missed a previous registration deadline, it’s not too late—they should register as soon as possible as required by New York State law.

We are happy to support your members by providing education and resources on employer responsibilities and the benefits of facilitating the program, including:

newsletter content, virtual or in-person webinars and trainings, presentations at monthly meetings or other events, and support for additional outreach and educational efforts.

The WNY Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce that we have received 15 basketball tickets for the Pre-Season Showcase between Penn State and St. Bonaventure and Daemen vs St. John Fisher. These tickets were graciously provided to us by greenlight networks and we appreciate their support and thank them for all they have done for the Chamber.
