π I noticed this article on Lancaster Online this morning about Seller disclosures and wanted to share a few thoughts... in the State of Pennsylvania Sellers are required to disclose any material defects about their home they are aware of to a Buyer. In my experience the great majority of Sellers are honest and make a good faith effort to accurately complete the Seller disclosure. That being said - I have encountered dishonest Sellers at times. There is a mediation process thru the Lancaster County Association of Realtors that can help resolve any disputes between Buyers and Seller. Mediation is usually successful in resolving the issue(s), but if mediation is not successful the parties can move forward to litigation. Also - when buying a home I always recommend talking to neighbors (if possible)... neighbors have proven to be a great source of information over the years! π«π‘π«ππΊπΈ
