🏡20 years ago I sold my very first house.
A colonial brick 1940s house on a hill.
It was April 2005 and the build up to the housing bubble in northern Virginia was underway. Buyers were lining up outside of open houses, there were showing frenzies and always multiple offers. It was most certainly a seller’s market.
I faxed and refaxed over our offer more than once to ensure it got to the listing agent by the offer deadline. I remember when the agent called to say the seller signed my client’s offer. I couldn’t believe it was happening. The seller chose my buyer’s offer and my life in real estate that officially started!
I am grateful for my first client. Her mother and mine had been childhood friends back in Lancaster, PA and here we were in Arlington, Virginia forging into the world of homeownership.
I’m forever grateful for her trust in me. I still send a Christmas card to her address every year and her family still calls that brick 1940s colonial house on the hill, home.
The real estate market has gone through many changes since then and I’ve been honored to be along for the ride.
Grateful for the opportunity to serve my clients and walk beside them no matter the market around us.
Thank you for your trust in me for 20 years.
I look forward to many more.
