Learn more about 🐾 PETE 🐾 - the dog you’ll be supporting through raffles and at our Pet Birthdays on the Patio event this month!

From Pet Pantry of Lancaster County:

“We estimate Pete to be about 5 years old. He is a neutered male Shepherd/Lab mix. Pete was initially adopted through a different rescue and brought to PA from Texas. The prior rescue estimated that he was older, and thinking he'd be a calm companion, matched him with a disabled veteran looking for a friend.

Pete is an all-around sweetheart, but he is a bit younger than expected, and his zest for life wasn't a great fit for his adopter's lifestyle. As a result, he came to Pet Pantry to find his forever home.

Pete loves to make new friends and when you meet him, he goes into full-body wiggles. He is social with other dogs in our rescue and seems to be uninterested in cats. He is looking for a home without young children.

He loves to play ball, go for walks, and cuddle up at night. He would make a great companion for any number of adopters!

Pete is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines. He is available for meet and greets, by appointment. If you think he may be the match for your family please fill out an adoption application!”
