I’m incredibly proud of what they’ve built, the countless people they’ve helped, and grateful that I had the privilege of growing up learning from them. While my path eventually led me elsewhere, the Galbreath Realtors will always hold a special place in my heart. Celebrating 70 Years
Honoring Our Legacy, Building Our Future
December 18, 2025 — This year marks an epic milestone for Galbreath Realtors as we celebrate our 70th anniversary in the Real Estate business. For seven decades we have done what we do best, help families buy and sell real estate, from a first purchase, to a change of location or features, to investment properties and farms, and even to that “goodbye” sale if a family needs to leave.
We are here to help every client with skilled negotiation, knowledge, and support throughout this important process. Home ownership is important to families and to the community. It builds friendships and connections – it builds communities.
For seven decades, we see ourselves as more than a Real Estate business but as a partner in this process helping generations of families find their way home.
The Vision of Our Founder
Our story began in 1955 when David Galbreath Sr, an unflappable guy with a pioneering spirit laid our foundation. Returning from service after WWII, David followed his father Earl Galbreath into the real estate field; Earl having developed the Westbrook and Edge Hill areas in Troy.
In this post-world war era of rapid growth, David Sr understood that real estate wasn't just about property—it was about people, trust, hard work, determination, and the value of a handshake. Dedicated to Troy and the surrounding Upper Miami Valley Area, David Sr established a standard of excellence that remains our “true north” today.
A Legacy of Collaboration: Galbreath and Snyder
The strength of our firm grew through the close-knit partnership of the three founding Realtors, David Galbreath Sr, his son David Galbreath Jr, and Wayne Snyder. These brokers worked side-by-side for years and along with an amazing team of Realtors, to make Galbreath Realtors a household name. Professional standards, service and knowledge is a winning combination after all.
Later, David Galbreath Jr and Wayne Snyder stepped into leadership roles. Their joint efforts ensured that the founding values established by David Sr guided the company through decades of growth and market changes. They guided new Realtors in their rookie year and recruited experienced professional Realtors. Many achieved success and recognition by the Ohio Association of Realtors as members of the President’s Sales Club. This success was often repeated yearly by many of the Galbreath Realtors.
Three Generations of Trust: The Snyder Family
Three generations built our foundation, and the Snyder family ensures that this legacy continues in the family. Now a three-generation family vocation, Broker Wayne Snyder and his wife, Realtor Shirley Snyder, have been cornerstones of local real estate for decades. Their commitment didn't just build a business; it inspired a multi-generational passion for service.
Today, that torch is carried by their daughter, Realtor Amy Snyder-Curtis, and the third generation with Realtor Chelsea Snyder and newest Realtor Matthew Donahey. With three generations, the Snyder family represents a rare and powerful continuity of knowledge that bridges our history with the modern market.
Galbreath Realtors Today and Tomorrow
Eddie Miller took ownership of Galbreath Realtors in 2023, himself a Rookie of the Year, when he started with Galbreath in 2014. Bringing a fresh perspective and innovative strategies, Eddie Miller drives growth while honoring the heritage built by the founders.
"We are standing on the shoulders of giants," says Eddie. "My mission is to take the timeless values established by David Sr, David Jr, and Wayne and pair them with the digital tools of tomorrow to ensure our clients always have the competitive edge." He and all the amazing Realtors working with Galbreath expect to continue this history of excellence.
