One of my wilder finds
Water coming off of the roof is washing away underneath the front steps. Said water is channeling from the steps into the crawlspace/basement slowly eroding the foundation support
The poured concrete you see is an undermined footing. Part of the house is currently held up by nothing and is shifting/cracking directly above
It seems as if the drainage and waterproofing was an afterthought once the home was completed and the only way to tackle the water issue was to excavate the under porch area
Once excavation took place it allowed a direct path for the water to enter and it has been trenching a path since
Water is lazy like electricity. It will take the path of least resistance. Often that path is downward
