I prayed that I could be of good service as a real estate agent; that God would send people my way, and God has delivered again. This afternoon, we closed on the home Charisse Tuell made for her children, room by room, project by project. This is a LSJ article featuring her years ago - her babies Lila and Liam are 14 and 10 today. What a gift to end this challenging year. I love this fierce and wonderful woman and it was an honor to work on her behalf. If you know of someone who thinks home ownership is a pipe dream, send them my way. Please. Thank you.

Child abuse and neglect is a huge problem locally and across the state and, frankly, we're not doing all we can as a state, community or individuals to prevent it. Far from it.

For the past 25 years, the official beginning of the Christmas season has been signaled by the light display in the home on the next block. It is the same every year and I can see it out of my back window wall. I had to snap this shot as it will likely be the last time I mark the beginning of the holidays this way. Little and lasting joys are found in being consciously present. Blessed and grateful.
