The brutal 😅 housing market we’ve experienced for the past few years is shifting, and here’s what that means for sellers and buyers 👇🏻
SELLERS 🏡
- Due to less buyer demand, the likelihood of your home staying on the market for longer is increased. This is normal and doesn’t mean anything is wrong with your house 👍🏼
- Less buyers shopping decreases the likelihood of bidding wars, which is what helped propel home prices up. Expect to receive offers close to the listing price 💰
- Really preparing your home to show well is important again. Buyers aren’t going to overlook everything like they’ve had to, so make sure your home is clean, decluttered, and in good shape ✨
BUYERS 💴
- Rate increases have caused many buyers to drop out of the market, which is good news for those still shopping! 🥳
- With less competition and less multiple offer situations, buyers have a better ability to negotiate throughout the transaction 🤝
- Buyers have had to move REALLY fast if they wanted to offer on a house due to fierce competition. Now there’s more time to think about this very important decision, which takes some pressure off 💭
