This one hits me in the feels.

My Grandpa and Grandma Veenkant planted roots in Gull Lake by buying this spec home in summer of 1969. 54 years later, this wonderful and loved home is ready for new owners.

I spent my afternoons after preschool and kindergarten here. I clocked many hours watching soap operas with grandma, playing tic tac toe with grandpa in his big brown recliner, and on mowing days riding along on his the John Deere lawn tractor with him - BIG fun for 4/5 year old Carey! During my high school years, before getting my driver's license I would walk to their house after school and hang out until my parents were done working. I can still recall the taste of the Honey Smacks cereal grandma kept in stock that I would devour while watching Carson Daly's TRL. 😆

We had MANY family gatherings with our gigantic family, joyfully filling the place to the brim. Basement skits & croquet in the backyard with my cousins during my younger years to Euchre tourneys as we got older.

54 years this home served as a beacon of comfort. Stable. Unchanged. Loved.
