It’s one of the most convenient features in your kitchen — but your garbage disposal needs a little TLC to keep it running smoothly!

💡 Keep your disposal happy by remembering:

🥕 Small food scraps only. Large amounts of food belong in the trash.

🚫 Avoid putting grease, oil, coffee grounds, eggshells, bones, pasta, rice, potato peels or fibrous foods down the disposal.

💧 Always run cold water before turning it on, while it’s running, and for a few seconds after you turn it off.

🍋 For a quick freshen-up, a small amount of citrus peel can help combat odors — just don’t overdo it!

⚠️ Disposal suddenly not working? Before submitting a service request, check the bottom of the unit under your sink for the small reset button. Sometimes a simple reset is all it needs!

A little preventative care can go a long way toward keeping your kitchen running smoothly. 🏡✨
