SCAM ALERT 🚨

Suspicious Zoom Request

A Realcomp subscriber was contacted about a lease listing and asked to join a Zoom meeting. When the meeting link would not connect, he called the person who had given him the zoom meeting link and she instructed the agent to disable firewall and security software in order to make it work.
Deciding that something didn’t feel right, the subscriber declined and quickly reported the incident.

Disabling security protections at the request of an unsolicited contact is a major red flag. Legitimate companies will never require this.

If this happens to you:
• Do not disable security software
• Do not install remote tools
• End the call and verify independently

11/14/25: Agent in Lapeer County

I am writing to raise awareness regarding a serious incident involving one of our agents that occurred this morning. The agent had recently begun working with a new client in Lapeer, whom they received via a referral company. They met with the client and their significant other once this week, during which time the client was reported to be heavily armed. This morning, the client began repeatedly calling the agent, making harassing calls that included verbal sexual advances. Please be aware.
