If you're renting in Laredo and wondering whether buying actually makes sense right now, there's a simple formula from personal finance that settles it: the Price-to-Rent Ratio.
Take the price of a home and divide it by what a year of rent would cost you.
🟢 Under 15 → Buying usually wins
🟡 15–20 → Could go either way
🟣 Over 20 → Renting usually wins

Example: A $250,000 home ÷ $18,000/year in rent ($1,500/mo) = 13.9. That's under 15 — buying usually wins.
