Missing you a lot these past few days, Grandpa... I know I should’ve posted something on here sooner but I honestly just couldn’t even bring myself to do so up until now... I’m also pretty sure you could care less as to whether or not I posted about you on social media considering you’d always make it more than clear how you felt about us always being on our phones and how much you basically disliked the internet overall, lol.
Anyways, I miss you more than you could ever imagine and regardless of us butting heads quite frequently, I never doubted how close we were even for a second. I feel forever grateful we ended on such good terms and I feel so lucky to have had you in my life for as long as I did.
You were so much more than a grandpa to me and often referred to you and Grandy as my second set of parents. The help, the advice, the endless patience, phone calls, answering all of my ridiculous car questions on a regular basis, the talks, the time spent spent together, the second, third, and fourth chances you always gave me when I less than deserving, I’m truly so grateful for all of it, Grandpa.
The family already knows how lucky we were to have had you in our lives but to also hear stories from so many other people who’s lives you touched along the way, is truly something to be said for. From old employees to people you’d randomly cross paths with in everyday life, anyone who knew you, loved you, and felt as if you made their world a little bit brighter, just by being in it.
Your work ethic, the amount of heart and soul you poured into each and every area of your life, your selflessness and generosity, are all such constant reminders of how we should all live our lives and treat one another.
You will always be my inspiration, Grandpa, and I feel so lucky to have known you and to have been your granddaughter. Thank you for always being such an amazing example and for truly being the best grandfather a girl could have ever asked for. Love you and I can’t wait to meet again one day. Maybe we’ll do the “St. Loui Woman” or maybe we’ll go gambling and get in trouble again for staying out too late..whatever it is, I look forward to it. ♥️ #111 @ Saint Petersburg, Florida
