Not only do we hoist furniture with large machinery — when we think it’s possible, we’ll also hoist it by hand with rope! 💪🪢

Today was definitely a rainy one, but that didn’t stop our crew! 🌧️ We managed to get this extra-large piece all the way up to the 3rd floor in ONE GO! 🙌

After more than 20 years in the moving business, here are 5 things we recommend looking for:

⭐ 1. Read the reviews — not just the rating.
Look at what customers actually say. Were the movers careful? On time? Professional? Did they communicate well?

📅 2. Look at experience.
How long has the company been moving families in your area? Experience matters when moving day doesn't go exactly as planned.

🚚 3. Ask who will actually perform your move.
Know who you're hiring and who will be showing up at your home on moving day.

💰 4. Understand your estimate.
Ask what's included, what isn't, and what could cause the final price to change.

📞 5. Pay attention to communication.
If getting answers is difficult before moving day, that's something worth considering.

“If you can take the window out… we can get it in.” 😂

We probably shouldn’t have said that…

Because they TAKE THE WINDOW OUT. 🤣

Now we had a 12' × 4' custom conference table, no elevator option, no staircase option, and a customer waiting to see if we could back up our big mouths.

So… challenge accepted. 💪

😂 Note to self: Be careful what you tell the customer is possible…

We had a 12-foot × 4-foot custom wood conference table that needed to go upstairs.

Elevator? ❌ Not happening.
Staircase with turns? ❌ Absolutely not.

So we jokingly told the customer, “Well… if you can get that window out, we can get the table in.”

Apparently, they took us seriously. 😂

Next thing we know—the window is OUT and everybody is looking at us like, “Alright, movers… your turn.”

Challenge accepted. 💪

We rented the equipment, built a custom pallet/platform, protected and secured the table, and carefully lifted the whole thing up to the opening.

And just like that… 12 feet of conference table went through the window. 😎

Moving isn't always about having bigger muscles. Sometimes it's about looking at something that shouldn't work and figuring out how to make it work safely.

Huge shoutout to the Shawn & Shawn crew for another little Assess. Plan. Execute. moment.

Not every move is about furniture!

We recently had the opportunity to pick up and deliver 60 boxes of donated books to The Book Rescuers — and what a cool place!

Instead of these books being tossed aside, they're getting another chapter and a chance to find new readers. 📖❤️

If you've never checked out The Book Rescuers, we definitely encourage you to stop in. That book Christmas tree alone is worth the trip! 😂📚🎄

We're always happy when one of our trucks can do a little more than just move stuff from Point A to Point B.
