Years later, I still hear people talk about what a great group of Pistol Peteās this group was. Not because of the hats, chaps, or traditionsābut because of the way they represented NMSU. They engaged the crowd, made every fan feel important, and never seemed too busy to stop for a picture or a conversation.
This was a throwback image I took near the end of their season, and looking back now, it reminds me of just how much fun that time was. Being a Pistol Pete mom was one of those experiences Iāll always treasure.
The memories were amazing, but hearing people still talk about the impact they made all these years later might be even better. ā¤ļøš¤ š“
