Truth 🤑

The wealthy have always acquired their wealth through the ownership of assets such as real estate, dividend stocks, index funds, distribution rights, copyrights, etc. Essentially, you either own assets or you are paying for someone else's assets.

CamHomes is starting the new year off right! We set 3 main goals for this year and we are making moves swiftly

🎉 🎉 We have one more meeting before we are certified power buyers, that’s booked for March!

🎉🎉 We are engaging with a very knowledgeable real estate CPA to get us on the right track and understand how to make the most of the benefits of real estate business!

This was an easy to read book. The author told the story of one of his properties a little bit at a time throughout the book. It was really interesting to hear about the challenges he faced and it made you look forward to hearing about the next snippet of his journey.

CamHomes is getting to a place where apartments and commercial real estate is within our reach. This book was a nice introduction into that world.

🏡 We are so excited for the next step in our journey 😁 Thanks to the amazing appreciation gained in our Lilac Square property, and the assistance of Ridge Lending Group, we were able to pull the equity from that home to purchase more properties 🏠 ➕ 💰

Las Vegas is very expensive to buy at this time so we are looking at turnkey options in other states. Turnkeys require minimal work for the investor. The turnkey company sells you the house and then places and manages the tenant. Great option for us being outside of the country 🇬🇧

We are also looking at partnerships. Partnerships allow us to gain more doors, share the risks (and benefits) and maybe help someone else start their real estate journey if they have minimal experience.

Our short term goal is to purchase 3 more properties in the next 6-12 months. Wish us luck as we continue this adventure 🏡

This book is a must read for beginners in real estate investing or even if you are a couple of properties in already. It really breaks down the process and can help build confidence to take the first step. Wish we knew about this book before we started this journey. Not sure we would have done anything different but I think I would have approached it with less nervousness.

The Iron Summit house was our second intentional rental property. It is almost the exact same size of the Lilac Square property but this house has 4 bedrooms with 1 floor. We bought this house a year after Lilac Square, almost to the day.

The house was hideously yellow. This likely caused the lack of offers the sellers were getting……which in turn made our deal sweeter. 💰

We painted all of the kitchen cabinets and put handles on them. We painted the entire house to include the ceiling. The garden was nice, we didn’t need to do much. We put all new white plug sockets and light switch plates on and added some fans in the bedrooms.

We secured a tenant before we finished the renovations. They have been in the house since.

August 2021: Purchase Price $350,000
House now estimated at $406,000
