Homeowners! Check your home on the Clark County Assessors page to make sure you are going to pay the correct amount. Check it out below. 👇🏼

NOTICE FROM THE CLARK COUNTY ASSESSOR:
-----
As homeowners, you are always able to correct your tax cap if it is incorrect. You will not be permanently set at 8%. Once your property becomes your primary residence, your 3% tax cap is set on your parcel for all billing years going forward. If your tax cap is currently at 3%, you do not need to do anything at this time. If you never completed a tax cap form to notify us that this is your primary residence, then the alternate tax cap may have been applied to your parcel.

Fiscal Year 2021-2022 started on July 1, 2021 and will end on June 30, 2022. The other tax cap percentage for this fiscal year was 7.7%. Final payment for this fiscal year’s taxes was March 7, 2022.

Fiscal Year 2022-2023 will begin on July 1, 2022 and end on June 30, 2023. The other tax cap percentage for this fiscal year is 8%. The Clark County Treasurer will be mailing out the tax bills for this fiscal by the end of July 2022. If you notice that your property tax cap for fiscal year 2022-2023 is at 8% and it is your primary residence, you have until June 30, 2023 to correct your tax cap.

The only reason your property tax cap will change from 3% to the other tax cap is if you make changes to the ownership (i.e. remove or add someone to title).

If your tax cap is incorrect, please contact the Assessor’s Office at 702-455-3882 or you can print out a form from our website at www.clarkcountynv.gov/assessor.
