Last night was exactly what summer is supposed to feel like.

Leon had the whole place going from start to finish, the pizza was on point, and the energy out there was just right. Nights like that remind us why we do this.

Our community came together to remember and honor the fallen heroes who sacrificed everything for our freedom. Grateful for every resident who showed up and every family who has given so much. 🙏

Mental health is not a luxury. It is the foundation everything else is built on.

And I will be honest with you... I used to treat it like an afterthought. Keep busy, stay productive, push through, but somewhere along the way I learned that slowing down IS the work.

So here is how I am showing up for myself today:

☀️ Morning coffee without my phone. Just me, the birds, and a few quiet minutes to breathe.
🚶 A walk around the neighborhood with no destination and no timer.
📞 Called a friend just to laugh. Not to vent, not to plan... just to laugh.
📖 Read something that had nothing to do with news or to do lists.

Thank you to all of the wonderful moms, grandmothers, and mother figures who joined us and made the afternoon so special. Seeing everyone gathered together was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful these events are for us.

We also hold close the memory of the mothers who are no longer with us, but whose love and impact continue to live on through the lives they touched every single day. Their presence is still felt in the traditions that are shared among family and friends.

Wishing everyone a Mother’s Day and a huge shoutout to everyone that helped make this event possible!

One of my favorite parts of these community events is getting to see everyone come together outside of the day-to-day routine, and Cinco de Mayo was such a fun night to be a part of.

From the tacos and tequila to everyone spending time laughing and talking together, the whole evening felt welcoming from start to finish. A huge thank you to Ray and Yolanda for putting so much effort into making the event happen, along with all of the residents who helped set everything up behind the scenes. It really showed what this community is all about. 🌮🍹

What was your favorite tequila that night? Terry's was very smooth!
