The City of North Las Vegas passed their STR ordinance by unanimous vote! For the first 60 days, registration is only open to those who have owned their home for at least the past year. After the 60 days, others may apply but a 660-foot separation rule will apply. The initial fee is $1000 ($900 annual fee). There are also zoning requirements, outdoor noise monitoring, limit on multi-unit structures, neighbor notification, fire and safety code self-inspection, insurance requirements, license number listing on ads, no parties or events, and some other requirements. They will revisit the ordinance in six months so it's important for hosts to be code-compliant and neighborhood-friendly!
