A new Nevada state law aims to help more homeowners build “casitas” on their property to ease challenges from the housing and affordability crisis.

The law primarily helped clear some hurdles that previously stood in the way for homeowners, such as restrictions around separate kitchens and lot size requirements to build additional units.
