Federal Reserve officials remain focused on inflation. Minutes from the Fed's July meeting showed several officials supported raising rates, while others said additional hikes may be needed if inflation doesn't continue to ease. That uncertainty could keep rates elevated.

Contingency:
A requirement in a contract that must occur before that contract can be finalized. A condition that must be met before a contract is legally binding. For example, commercial property purchasers often include a contingency that specifies the contract is not binding until the purchaser obtains a satisfactory property inspection report.

Contiguous Space:
(1) Multiple suites/spaces within the same building and on the same floor which can be combined and rented to a single tenant; and (2) A block of space located on multiple adjoining floors in a building (i.e., a tenant leases floors 6 through 12 in a building).
