Apparently Celery is a Color of the Year for 2026.

I discovered this while wandering through Lowe’s looking at paint colors and design ideas today.

And I have questions. 😂

I don’t hate it… but I don’t know how liberally I would use it !

Is it Color of the Year worthy?

Are we ready for celery walls? Cabinets? A bathroom?

I need opinions. Celery: yes or absolutely not? 😂

A little relocation homework before my buyer gets to Las Vegas. 🏡

This week I toured several new construction and attached-home communities to get a better feel for what might actually work for him before his upcoming visit.

Floor plans, commute, outdoor space, HOA considerations, location... some things just make more sense once you’ve actually walked through them.

A few communities stayed on the list. A few got crossed off. And that’s kind of the point.

When someone is moving to Las Vegas from out of state, I want their time here spent looking at the options that actually make sense for them, not figuring out what we could have eliminated ahead of time.

Someone recently asked me, “Who even knows about Rhyolite Ghost Town?”

Apparently... people who Google “fun day trips outside Las Vegas.” 😂

I truly enjoy exploring Southern Nevada beyond neighborhoods and home values. Whether it’s wandering through a ghost town, hiking at Red Rock, or spending the day at Valley of Fire, getting off the beaten path always reminds me why I love living here.

🏜️Incredible desert landscapes.

It’s a pretty amazing place to call home.

Big news for Southern Nevada homeowners.

As of July 1, new Nevada legislation makes it easier in many cases to add ADUs (accessory dwelling units), casitas, and attached living spaces on residential properties.

This could create more flexibility for homeowners thinking about:

• housing for aging parents
• multi-generational living
• space for adult children
• long-term rental income
• future planning and asset protection

Local update: Henderson, North Las Vegas, and Clark County planning departments have already implemented the rules needed to align with the new law, with other jurisdictions continuing to update local ordinances.

As more families think about long-term planning and creative housing solutions, I think this is a really interesting development to watch.

Definitely worth paying attention to if a casita or ADU (additional dwelling unit) has ever been on your radar.

There’s been a lot of real estate talk lately… interest rates, housing headlines, new legislation.

Honestly, it can be a lot.

But here’s what I’m seeing locally.

Summer in Las Vegas usually slows things down a bit. People are traveling, staying inside because it’s 110 degrees, or waiting until fall to make a move.

That slower pace can actually create opportunity for buyers.

Inventory is up, more listings are sitting a little longer, and price reductions are becoming more common.

Translation? Buyers may have more options and a little more room to negotiate right now.

Good homes are still selling, especially if they’re priced well.

But for buyers who’ve been waiting for the market to feel a little less competitive… this could be a pretty interesting window.
