In order to have a village, you have to be a villager. đź’š

Yesterday, Urban Chamber CEO Chris Shelton attended the National Action Network Las Vegas Women in Business event for one simple reason: to show up and support UCC Board Member Gwen Braimoh.

That act of support turned into an unexpected moment for the Urban Chamber.

During the event, Congressman Steven Horsford recognized Chris and announced a $5,000 contribution to the Urban Chamber of Commerce in support of the work we do for businesses and entrepreneurs throughout Southern Nevada.

It was a powerful reminder that community is reciprocal. We show up. We support one another. We invest in each other. And sometimes, while you’re busy being part of someone else’s village, the village shows up for you too.
