Governor Steve Sisolak has lifted the state's mask mandate effective immediately.

Masks will no longer be required in public places, but there are locations where Nevadans and visitors may still be asked to wear a mask.

Masks and protective equipment requirements in facilities serving vulnerable populations - like hospitals, clinics and long-term care facilities - will be overseen at the direction of the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.

Federally, masks are still mandated in airports, on planes and on public buses and school buses.
