This moment was special, a true full circle moment. 🔴

Back in the day, Charles my Supervisor at Best Buy. We worked in the warehouse together and he’d often give me rides home after work on “truck nights.” I typically rode the bus, but on truck nights we’d get out of work after the bus stopped circulating in our area.

Charles (and Antoine) would give me rides home every truck night… until he couldn’t…because I’d become homeless at 16 years old.

I’d spent the nights prior to our weekly truck night sleeping on the CAT bus, but when Charles learned of my situation, he invited me to stay with his family until I got back on my feet. To him, this may have been a small gesture, but to me, this was HUGE!

It’s this history that made this moment so special for me. While his wife may have done all the work 😂, being able to help Charles find a forever home for his family… after helping me find a home in my time of need… was everything.

I’m forever grateful and thankful. 🙏🏿
