✌️There are 2 types of people in this world.

🔸you have to be debt-free to buy a house
🔸you don't have to be debt-free to buy a house

🔹Paying down as much debt as possible before applying for a mortgage is ideal since it helps consumers improve their credit score,

🔹but you can also buy a house while in debt. It all depends on what portion of your monthly gross income goes towards paying the minimum amounts due on recurring debts like credit card bills, student loans, car loans, etc.
Your debt-to-income ratio matters a lot to lenders.
