Yesterday, my dad left this earth, but he’ll never leave my heart. It’s so full of the love he gave, and always will be.
I came across a quote years ago that I’ve never forgotten, because when I read it, I realized it described my dad perfectly. It felt like whoever wrote it must have known him:
“The best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother.”
He lived that every day. Through his love, respect, and quiet strength, he showed us what true devotion looks like. That love filled our home and it shaped me.
He was the man I looked up to my entire life, the steady, loving presence who helped make me who I am. I can’t say I’ll miss him, because he’s still with me. I know he’s watching over my mom, my sisters, our husbands, our children, our grandchildren, and all the family and friends who were touched by his love.
I’ll carry him with me for the rest of my life, and I’ll never stop being proud to be his daughter. ❤️🦋
