Some cats have waited a long time. This week, they go home for free.

A little good news for Las Vegas animal lovers.
Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is waiving adoption fees on its longest-waiting cats through Aug. 26 as part of Clear the Shelters. These are the ones who've been patient the longest — and every cat is already spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. You'll find them at 2675 E. Flamingo Road.

There's something that connects the work I do and a week like this: everyone deserves a place to call home. If you've been thinking about adding a furry member to the family, this is a beautiful time to do it.
