Stepping into an industry without a clear roadmap takes courage. Staying long enough to help shape it takes leadership. Marlene Chakerr’s journey reflects both. From attending her first California Mortgage Bankers Association conference, feeling unfamiliar with the landscape, to later serving on its Board, her story is rooted in resilience, growth, and principled leadership.
As the first and only woman, for several years, to own and operate a certified appraisal management company in the United States, Marlene continued to break barriers while building AAA Appraisal Management Company, LLC, on integrity, accountability, and long-term value. Her expertise also earned international recognition, including an invitation to speak in China before more than 3,000 industry professionals on valuation standards and risk management.
Marlene’s leadership was recognized with the Business Leadership Excellence Award at the CXO 2.0 Conference, followed by a Times Square billboard feature spotlighting her growing influence in the appraisal and mortgage industries.
