There are 4 different ways to make money.
1. Earned income: This is the income they taught you to earn in school. It is the worst way to earn money. It is taxed at the highest rates. The more money you earn the more money the government takes.
2. Self employed: entrepreneurs, gig workers, small businesses: this income is also taxed, oftentimes double taxed but still better than earned income. Biggest problem is that if you aren't working the business isn't earning money.
3. Businesses: owning a business that doesn't require your presence or efforts to earn money. Built with systems in mind. This is the least taxed form of income. Most often tax free. This the type of income like the Walton family, and the Gates family are built upon.
4. Investment income: From owning stock, bonds, mutual funds,real estate, life insurance, and commodities. Least taxed and hardest working income.
