A little change of pace today… and a little walk down memory lane. ❤️
From baby pictures, to the rotten teenage years, to a rebellious twenty-something who somehow found herself hanging out with Jimmy Page… there are a whole lot of lives tucked inside one life.
My dad, who I lost far too young at only 58. My gorgeous mother, who has been such an enormous part of who I am. Family, old friends, questionable hairstyles, even more questionable decisions, and all of the little moments you don’t realize are important until years later.
And especially my two beautiful sisters. Life has taken all three of us through different chapters, but I am so incredibly grateful that I got to grow up beside them—and that I still get to do life with them now.
Looking through these pictures reminded me how strange time is. When you’re living it, everything feels so permanent. The house you live in. The people around the dinner table. Your parents being young. Your sisters being down the hall. Being a teenager and thinking you know absolutely everything. 😂
And then somehow, decades pass.
People change. Families grow. Some people leave us. We become mothers. Careers happen. Life happens.
And one day you find yourself looking at an old photograph and wishing, just for a second, you could climb back inside it.
So here’s a little piece of mine.
The people, the chaos, the love, the losses, the questionable years and everything in between.
Turns out, those were the good old days.
And hopefully, these are too. ❤️
