Now, Nevada law does set limits. Here are your rights under NRS Chapter 116:
1. You must get a written notice before a fine.
2. You have the right to a hearing before the board.
3. Once you fix the issue, the HOA can’t keep fining you.
4. They can’t change the leasing rules retroactively to punish existing owners.
5. And starting in 2025, HOAs can’t ban certain religious or cultural door displays.
These laws exist to prevent abuse — but enforcement only works if you know your rights….
