For the discerning historian, preservationist, and proud Albany resident, a singular opportunity awaits directly across from the majestic Ten Broeck Mansion. Believed to be the oldest standing wood-frame home in the city, the revered Joseph Hall House is a rare and profound connection to Albany’s earliest days.
This is not merely a house; it is a preserved artifact, boasting extraordinary provenance and antique details, including wide-plank ‘’pumpkin’’ pine floors that whisper stories of the past. The groundwork for a magnificent legacy has been laid: the charming residence features four bedrooms and two full baths and a lower level with income-generating apartment potential that will shine with your finishes. Outside, enjoy a fabulous screened porch, a small greenhouse, and magical gardens originally designed by a master gardener creating a private oasis on one of the largest lots in the Ten Broeck triangle. All this secured with a two-car garage and ample off-street parking.
Located in the sought after Ten Broeck triangle neighborhood, with downtown walkability to restaurants, theaters, and nightlife.
The most exciting chapter, however, is yet to be written. This historic jewel presents a opportunity for a new steward to personalize the finishing details. This targeted investment promises not just an enhancement of the home’s exceptional character but also a value return on your devotion to historic preservation. Own a piece of history and secure its future. This is the one.
This is my personal home, available for the first time in 15 years for it’s new steward to take the helm.
