Balloons over the Colorado 2024 October 27th,2024. Lift off occurs about 5 minutes into the video from Rotary Park in Bullhead City. It appears that about 10 to 12 balloons participated at 6am. Winds were light, and drift was to the northwest into Nevada just about at the gas line crossing. As you will see this flight required me to return to home to swap out batteries and return to the flight site.

An Evening Tribute to Don, Betty and the entire Laughlin Family
An Evening Tribute to Don, Betty, Ron, Matt and the entire Laughlin Family! This clip reflects both the "inspiration and determination" of Don and Betty dating back to 1966 when they purchased an eight-room motel and opened what was to forever thereafter to become the Riverside Hotel and Casino and the gold standard for all who would follow. This leisurely midweek evening flight down the entire resort corridor to our Laughlin Bridge and the Laughlin- Bullhead City Airport lets one reflect upon the true impact, one man and his family has had and will forever have upon our entire tri-state community.
In trying my best to honor Don's passing on the morning of October 22nd, I hoped to select tunes which i felt might reflect the thoughts and dreams of such a loving couple and their Family. It is for this reason that I selected the two songs that I felt Don might be singing to Betty ("Sailing" by Rod Stewart and "Wherever would I Be" by Cheap Trick) and two songs Betty might be singing to Don ("The Sweetest Thing" by Juice Newton and "There You'll Be" by Faith Hill) I pray that these selections might lend memorial comfort to not only the Laughlin Family but the many thousands who have and will continue to grieve at Don's passing.
In closing i would ask each of you to share this clip with anyone, friends or family who might be in need comfort of a moment.
