Proud to be representing on behalf of our members!

The Montana Association of REALTORS® is proud to announce a $10,000 donation from the MAR Philanthropic Fund to the Montana Stockgrowers Association Montana Stockgrowers Foundation (MSF) Wildfire Relief Fund. This contribution is dedicated to supporting Montana ranchers impacted by devastating wildfires, including those affected by the Re*****on Fire in southeastern Montana, which consumed over 195,000 acres.

Wildfires pose a significant threat to Montana’s agricultural and ranching communities, with losses ranging from property damage to impacts on livelihoods. The MSF Wildfire Relief Fund offers critical assistance to ranchers facing these challenges, providing financial support to help them recover and rebuild.

The Re*****on Fire, one of the largest wildfires in the state this year, has had a profound impact on ranching families in southeastern Montana. MAR’s donation will directly contribute to relief efforts, helping affected ranchers navigate the aftermath of the fire.

The Montana Association of REALTORS® Philanthropic Fund empowers us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Montanans by supporting the causes that matter most to our communities. Focused on partnering with registered 501(c)3 organizations, the fund prioritizes initiatives where every dollar donated directly impacts the cause rather than administrative costs. Guided by MAR’s mission and vision, the fund emphasizes statewide disaster relief and housing efforts, ensuring our contributions align with the values of advocacy, integrity, and community service that define our Association. Together, we’re building stronger, more resilient communities across Montana.

Fact versus Myth!

I'm addressing the top questions from sellers and buyers.

I get asked what renovations they should do prior to selling. Some renovations take years to see a return and should not be completed right before selling. A kitchen or a bathroom is likely not a good idea right before selling. In my opinion, the best thing a seller can do prior to selling is add fresh paint and declutter the home.

Buyers always say to me, "Let's come in lower on the asking price as a seller can always counter." This may not be the case. I have seen it multiple times this year. If a home is priced right, it could capture multiple offers. In a multiple offer scenario, buyers tend to put forth stronger offers. I have also seen sellers who have their home priced accordingly flat out reject a low offer.

The moral of the story is always to consult your Real Estate Professional. The information they provide can save you money and get you the home you love.

Sometimes, selling a home isn’t just about a transaction—it’s about a chapter of life. This beautiful home was sold after the seller faced incredibly difficult health challenges that made letting go an extremely difficult decision. While it wasn’t easy, we were able to work together to make sure this transition was as smooth as possible during such a tough time. This seller is to be admired.

I have been licesned with A Haus of Realty since March 2003. I became one of the Broker/Owners in 2017. I am actively involved with our local and state associations. I have served as President of the Billings Association of Realtors, chaired many committees, have been on the local board of directors and state board of directors for 6 years and currently serving my 3rd term for both. I feel it is extremely important to be involved, so the knowledge gained can be passed on to my buyers and sellers. In 2017 I obtain my license to teach Real Estate classes in the state of Montana. I pride myself on building realationship with my clients and make sure they never feel like a number. I strive for outstanding service and am always available to answer questions. I truly love this industry.
