Old Man’s Cave is easily one of the best hikes in the Midwest — towering cliffs, waterfalls, caves, bridges, and breathtaking gorge views around every corner. But that’s just the beginning of what makes Hocking Hills unforgettable.
🌿 Rockbridge features Ohio’s largest natural rock bridge with a waterfall and a peaceful 1.5 mile round-trip hike.
🌿 Ash Cave is one of the most beautiful spots in Hocking Hills and offers an easy ADA-accessible half mile walk to a massive recessed cave and waterfall.
🌿 Chapel Cave is about a 2 mile round-trip hike and also connects with horse trails.
🍂 Conkle’s Hollow Upper Trail may just be the prettiest fall hike in Hocking Hills, while the gorge trail below winds through towering cliffs just over a mile long.
🪨 Rock House is unlike anything else in Ohio — a tunnel-like cave carved into Black Hand sandstone with window openings through the rock walls.
🦅 At Cantwell Cliffs, one of the most challenging hikes in Hocking Hills, you’ll climb through rugged terrain, massive rock formations, narrow passageways, and the famous “Fat Woman’s Squeeze.”
💦 Cedar Falls is stunning year-round with steep steps descending into the gorge and plenty of longer connecting trails nearby.
🌲 Whispering Cave offers a beautiful waterfall hike from the state park, while the Ash Cave Fire Tower gives incredible views from an 80-foot tower with only a short walk required.
