Officer Quackers is back in the neighborhoods looking for his ducks. Ducks will be out in your neighborhoods May 10th to May 16th. If you find a duck, return it to the Lavon Police Department, Monday, May 11th to Friday, May 15th, 2026, between the hours of 8am-5pm. You can also return them Monday, May 18th to Friday, May 22, 2026, between 8am-5pm for a prize. Don't miss out on your chance to find a duck and a free prize.

🇺🇸 Why do you walk? 🇺🇸

We are a little over TWO WEEKS AWAY from the 2026 Memorial Walk and Fire Station Open House on Saturday, May 16, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Memorial Day is a time to remember and honor the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country. It is a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made to protect our freedoms, and an opportunity for our community to come together in gratitude and reflection.

The Memorial Walk is approximately five miles and will begin and end at Station 511. Participants are encouraged to walk in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and to reflect on the true meaning of the day.

First responders and veterans are encouraged to wear their full fire, police, or armed forces gear during the walk as a visible tribute to those who have served and sacrificed.

Following the walk, refreshments and family-friendly activities will be available at Station 511 beginning at 10:00 AM.

We encourage you to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join us for this meaningful and community-centered event as we come together to honor, remember, and support one another.
