🎨 The 2027 Colors of the Year are being announced, and I have a favorite!

Green has always been my favorite color, but I tend to lean toward those deeper, woodsy shades. Give me a Christmas green over a light green any day!

So, out of this year's choices, I'm going with Grounded by Behr. 💚

This is one of the reasons Junior Golf means so much to me. ⛳

I’ve had a front-row seat to watch how golf helped Dani grow over the years. I watched her put in the time, learn to compete, handle the tough rounds and celebrate the good ones.

And then I got to watch her compete right here in the Northwest Iowa National Invitational.

As a mom, those are pretty special memories.

It’s also one of the reasons I continue to support Junior Golf of Northwest Iowa. Giving young golfers opportunities to play, compete and grow through the game can make a difference that lasts well beyond the golf course.

Northwest Iowa National Invitational Collegiate Golf Championship returns September 20-22, and I’m looking forward to another great year. ❤️⛳

Getting ready for my golfers! ⛳🍌

Apparently that means 72 mini loaves of banana bread. Why 72? Because that's how many bananas were in my freezer. 😂

The Northwest Iowa National Invitational is almost here!

I love the golf, but this might be my favorite part of the tournament. ❤️

One thing that makes the Northwest Iowa National Invitational a little different is that the college golfers stay with local host families.

Dale and I have had the same team for six years.

You really do get to know them. We look forward to seeing them every year, hearing what’s happened since we saw them last and having everyone back around the table again.

Because Dani was also playing college golf, Dale and I have even been fortunate enough to see some of them at other tournaments we traveled to.

Somewhere along the way, hosting became much more than giving a group of golfers a place to sleep for a few nights.

These are the kinds of relationships that make this tournament so special to me.

And yes, tournament week means a very full house and a very full refrigerator. 😂

Would I change it? Not a chance.
