Interest rates crossed over 7% this week. Whether you like him or not, Dave Ramsey said buy a house now and don’t wait. What’s his reason? Because if interest rates go down home prices are going to go up so you won’t end up in a better position from waiting. And while you’re waiting, you’re not building equity, which is the quickest way to build wealth. The mortgage bank has association expecting rates to hold around 6.7% through 2028 so those 4% rates we saw in 2021 are not coming back anytime soon. Stop paying somebody else’s mortgage by extending your lease again and get into your home now before rates increase further.
