Great news! We are continuing to reduce and remove evacuation levels on the Little Giant Fire as crews continue to gain more control. The prior Level 1 evacuation near Fish Lake the and the prior Level 3 near Lake Chelan have both been removed. There only remains the Level 3 evacuation zone on Chiwawa River Road. Please check our live incident map for a visualization of these zones at https://bit.ly/43qqPnm.

Also, please remember that the Forest Service closure remains in effect. This closure can also be viewed on our map!

The evacuation zones for the SiSi Fire have not changed.

**Heads-Up, Buttercup! 🌼🚧**

Some MUCH-needed stabilization work is happening on Beaver Valley Hill! For approximately **3 weeks**, locals and guests staying in the Plain area will need to take **Tumwater Canyon via Hwy 2** when traveling to and from Leavenworth and Wenatchee.

Is it ideal? Nope. 😅 But the hill needs some love, and there’s never a perfect time to get it done!

Please plan for a little extra travel time, follow posted detours, and enjoy the scenic route through Tumwater Canyon.

**A little inconvenience now for a safer road ahead!**

The project at Chumstick Highway at Beaver Hill near Plain has been delayed out of an abundance of caution and wildfire concerns. Start date is Sept. 28, with a full closure through Oct. 17.

Today, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders and everyday heroes who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

May we also remember the strength, compassion, and unity that brought Americans together in the days that followed.
