A group lunch outing with a very special lady. ❤️
Our residents enjoyed a wonderful meal at Haywards PIT Bbq and Catering with our beloved Hattie, who, along with her late husband, Hayward, founded the original restaurant. It was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate Hattie, share memories, and enjoy a little of the barbecue legacy she and Hayward created.
Great food, fun company, and a story worth remembering.

Jack Stokes, a much-beloved Fairways of Ironhorse resident, recently shared his fascinating story with our residents. Jack is a US Navy veteran who served on a nuclear submarine, earning the prestigious "Dolphins," a symbol of submarine service. He later worked in the nuclear development department as an Engineer for Kansas Gas and Electric Company. Jack's beautiful ladies, Jan (wife) and Leslie (one of 2 daughters), joined us for his presentation. Thank you for your service, Jack!

Voices of Kansas City, a professional, 8-part, a ca****la choral ensemble, performed a captivating patriotic program to kick off our Labor Day weekend. They were very well received, and we had a wonderful turnout. Veterans were asked to stand for the U.S. Armed Forces Medley, which warmed our hearts as residents stood for the branches of the military they served in.

The show was amazing, and the feedback so good that we'll be having them back for Christmas music in December!

Our September birthday residents dined in style at Fairways of Ironhorse! We were happy to add a couple of new residents (with August birthdays) who moved in late last month. Chef Mo received rave reviews for a beautiful, elevated meal that included Ribeye Steak with Lobster Tail for the main course. Bringing old friends and new friends together to celebrate made the meal even more special!
